Link Case Management Ltd are proud sponsors of Hannah Hines – para surfer exraordinaire!

In 2024, LCM sponsorship helped Hannah have one of the most adventurous years of her life, which is saying something because there have been many adventurous years. LCM’s sponsorship helped her compete in the last of the Para surfing World Tour stops, the final, the US Open crowning the victors of the tour in Oceanside, California in September. Hannah was sandwiched between Australian athletes Neumueller (1st) and Goldsmith (3rd) which was impressive since she missed the beginning of the tour in Byron Bay and impressive for a British surfer to make the list at all. All the other finalists were from Hawaii, the USA or Australia.

Hannah also qualified for the ISA Para Surfing World Championships in Huntington Beach in November 2024. She was set to be in the final but was knocked shy of qualifying for the final in the last few minutes and came 5th which equalled her position last year.

After her final contest Hannah had this to say – “I’m just back from Worlds, performance wise there was this incredible milestone, especially when the waves jumped up into a glorious Santa Ana swell. There was a genuine feeling that I was surfing like one of the best in the world. The next day the swell fell away and the waves got sloppy. Everyone knows me as the big wave girl and the flat spell knocked me just shy of the final 4. Still, people were surprised I wasn’t in the final and that tells me all I need to know. I feel established in the World Para Surfing community, especially from my results in the World Tour and respected for my progress which just feels great. Getting knocked out of the final was frustrating but I was very, very close. Consistency is key and gold was one big swell away.”

“Each year it takes many financial contributions from kind businesses like yourselves who share the belief in me and the belief that a disabled woman from down the road can go and do such incredible things and call themselves one of the best Para surfers in the world. I can’t thank you enough.”

Go Hannah!
